低温离子渗硫层的摩擦学性能研究

A Study on the Tribological Properties of Sulfide Layer Produced by Ion Sulphurization

  • 摘要: 采用低温离子渗硫技术在45# 钢和GCr15 钢表面形成渗硫层,用SRV 往复摩擦磨损试验机分别在干摩擦和液体石蜡润滑下对渗硫层的摩擦学性能进行了研究,用SEM、EDAX 和XRD研究了渗硫层的形貌和结构,并对磨痕的形貌及成分进行了分析.结果表明:渗硫层表面呈多孔结构,由FeS和FeS2 硫化物相及基体相组成;在干摩擦和液体石蜡润滑下,渗硫层具有明显的减摩润滑作用,并在一定程度上提高了材料表面的耐磨性,但渗硫层厚度对摩擦系数影响不大;相同试验条件下,GCr15 钢渗硫层的耐磨性优于45# 钢渗硫层.

     

    Abstract: Sulfide layers were made on the surface of AISI 1045 and SAE 52100 steels by means of low temperature ion sulphurization process. The tribological properties of the sulfide layers were investigated on an SRV reciprocating tester under dry and paraffin oil lubricated conditions. SEM equipped with EDAX and XRD were adopted to analyze the morphology and structure of the sulfide layers. The morphologies and composition of the wear scars were also analyzed. The results show that the sulfide layers were porous and composed of FeS, FeS 2 and substrate phases. Under both dry and paraffin oil lubricated conditions, the sulfide layers showed remarkable friction reducing effects and improved wear resistance to a certain extent. With the increase of the layer thickness, its antiwear life was prolonged, but the thickness and substrate did not affect the friction coefficient greatly. Under the same experimental conditions, the antiwear life of the sulfide layers on SAE 52100 steel was longer than that on AISI 1045 steel, and the wear resistance of the former was better.
