颗粒增强铁基复合材料的三体磨料磨损性能

Three-Body Abrasive Wear Behavior of Iron Matrix Composites Reinforced with Tungsten Carbide Particles

  • 摘要: 采用普通铸渗工艺制备了具有蜂窝型陶瓷芯板的WC颗粒增强高铬铸铁基复合材料,陶瓷芯板厚度达到15~20 mm.通过金相显微镜、XRD等分析手段研究了复合材料界面结构及物相组成,由于WC颗粒边缘与高温铁水发生溶解扩散反应形成过渡层,使得基体与增强颗粒之间形成了良好的冶金结合.利用三体磨料磨损试验机测试了带有蜂窝孔复合材料的磨损性能,结果表明:磨损过程中,复合材料体积磨损量随着磨损过程的进行逐渐减少;复合材料的三体磨损性能与热处理态高铬铸铁标样相比有较为明显的提高,热处理态与铸态复合材料的耐磨性相差不大.

     

    Abstract: WC reinforced high-Cr white cast iron matrix composites with honeycomb-shaped ceramic plates are prepared by the common infiltration casting technique. Structure and phases of the interface are investigated with optical microscope and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The dissolution and diffusion of the WC particles in the hot metal form an interlayer, which ensure metallurgical bonding of the interface between the high-Cr white cast iron and the particles. Wear performance of the composite with honeycomb hole are studied on three-body abrasive wear tester. The results show that the wear volume of the composite decreases gradually in the test. Comparing to heat-treated high-Cr cast iron, wear resistance of the composite increases obviously. As-cast composites has comparable wear resistance as the heat-treated composites.
