Three Dimensional Steady State model of a Mechanical Seal and Seal Performance Analysis

  • 摘要: 针对接触式机械密封,建立了包括轴向模式和角向模式的三维稳态力学模型,考虑密封环端面接触及液膜空化,提出了数值求解方法,计算了在稳定工况下的泄漏率、液膜厚度、液膜压力和接触压力的分布形式,分析了动环初始安装误差,端面锥度等因素对接触式机械密封端面三维位置关系的影响.结果表明:初始安装误差、端面锥度对接触式机械密封的性能影响较大.所建数学模型和相关计算方法对接触式机械密封的优化设计具有一定的指导意义.

     

    Abstract: According to contacting mechanical seals, three dimensional steady state mechanics model is established including axial mode and angular modes. Taking account of contacting effect between seal rings’ faces and liquid cavitation, a mathematical computational method is proposed. Influence of initial rotor misalignment, stator coning angle on relative nutation angle between rings is analyzed. Leakage rate, distribution of film thickness, liquid pressure and contact pressure in steady state is computed. Results show that initial rotor misalignment and face coning angle have a great effect on seal performance. Mathematical model and computational method can be used to analyze seal performance and to guide the optimization design of contacting mechanical seals.
