Effect of Polymerizable and Extreme Pressure Additives on Tribological Behavior of a Mineral Oil

  • 摘要: 选用重极压齿轮油和二聚酸 /司本 - 80添加剂制备了多种不同配比的油样 ,进行了疲劳和胶合试验 ,同时分析了磨损表面形貌和抗磨机理 .结果表明 :聚合添加剂的耐疲劳性能较好 ,其与极压添加剂经合理复配可以更好地提高油样的耐疲劳及抗胶合综合性能 .这是两类添加剂协同作用的结果

     

    Abstract: Two kinds of additives, namely, the heavy extreme pressure gear oil additive and polymerizable dimer acid/sorbitan additive were selected to formulate various mineral oil-based lubricants. The effect of the additives on the load-carrying capacity of the base stock and the anti-fatigue ability was investigated based on fatigue testing and seizure testing. The worn surfaces were observed with a scanning electron microscope. As the results, the polymerizable additive contributes to increase the anti-fatigue ability greatly, while the extreme pressure additive leads to decrease of the anti-fatigue ability. Optimized comprehensive properties can be reached by proper formulation of the lubricating oil containing the two kinds of additives. This is attributed to the synergistic effect of the two kings of additives in the mineral oil.
