Abstract: The life cycle assessment and life cycle design is briefed, and the general procedures of life cycle assessment and life cycle design are described. Moreover, the role of tribology in the investigation of life cycle assessment and life cycle design is investigated, by combing the research objects and tasks of tribological investigations.
