Progress and Prospect of High Temperature Lubrication Coatings

  • This paper primarily reviewed the advancements in high-temperature lubricating coatings. The first section outlined the applicable temperature ranged of common solid lubricants. Then, the second section summarized various processes for preparing high-temperature lubricating coatings, noting how different fabrication methods impacted the coatings' mechanical strength and lifespan. The third section focused on high-temperature solid lubricating coatings applied to different substrates, This section focused on the research progress of adaptive lubricating coatings from the perspectives of temperature and chemical composition changes, a trending topic in recent years. Finally, the paper briefly outlined potential future research directions and development trends for high-temperature lubricating coatings.
